The Jimmy Rollins Family Foundation has partnered with Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar to host Havana Nights at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia on Monday, November 14, 2011, from 7:00pm to 10:00pm.

Havana Nights is a Cuban‐themed fundraising gala with chic ambiance. The evening will be a culinary experience highlighting dishes from Cuba Libre Restaurant paired with rum, Mojitos and premier wine, and will feature a Cuban Salsa Band, dancing and other entertainment. I did not know about your foundation. I must say I think it's great. I was in a hit and run car accident in 99' and slammed in the back. I have so many problems with my back, sciatica, neck shoulders, fibromyalgia, and arthritis to name a few. When your hands hurt so much and your neck and back it is incredible. To not to be able to do things that you could do that are so simple. Think your doing a wonderful thing.

I heard from 2 people who work where all the Phillies go for rehab and I understand there is a cancer hospital there. I was told you all on your off time spend time cheering the kids up. Your all great with kids I hear. I know it's not an easy thing to go into a child cancer hospital or situation as my very young nephew had cancer at 3 and died at 4. It's brutal. You don't have to do it. But you do. God bless you all.

As far as Havana Nights go "Prevent Childhood Abuse" that is great. When I worked as a medical transcriptionist for places where kids came in or were housed because of unspeakable abuse it was hard to stomach just what you typed. To participate in this and bring attention knowing that you will attract people to give money to help is a tremendous thing. You don't even see the kids but if you stop to think how many kids your helping. I would probably imagine that in the future you will have kids searching for you to thank you in years to come.
